The Vitra S.A.M. Bois Dining Table, designed by Jean Prouvé between 1941 and 1942, reflects the designer’s mastery of structural integrity and honest material use. Originally developed for a French chemical company during a period of metal scarcity, the “Table Salle à Manger Bois”; later known as the Table S.A.M. Bois, was created entirely from wood.
