Louis Poulsen PH Snowball Pendant Light

Designed by Poul Henningsen, the PH Snowball Pendant Light reflects his lifelong mission to create glare-free, harmonious lighting. First introduced in 1958 at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art (now the Designmuseum Denmark), it was part of the "Glass, Light and Colour" exhibition alongside the PH Artichoke and PH 5.

While it initially went unnoticed, the PH Snowball was relaunched in 1983 and has since become a celebrated piece of Danish design. The pendant features eight carefully arranged shades that form an elegant, spherical shape, reminiscent of Henningsen's earlier works like the Contrast lamp and PH Louvre. This thoughtful construction ensures that light is evenly diffused, creating a soft and comfortable glow without glare. Its sculptural form adds a striking yet understated presence to any interior, making it as much a work of art as a source of light. The PH Snowball's timeless appeal and functional brilliance make it a versatile addition to both modern and classic interiors.
