The HAY Layout Dining Chair 114, designed by Julien Renault, offers the most enveloping expression of the Layout collection, combining visual lightness with added comfort. Defined by the open-back shell, the chair maintains an airy, transparent look while providing natural support that moves with the body. An upholstered seat and back add warmth and softness, making it well suited to longer periods of sitting in both domestic and professional environments.

Crafted with circularity in mind, the shell is made from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic and all components can be fully disassembled to extend the chair’s lifespan and allow refurbishment over time. Slim tubular legs create a refined silhouette and are available in either chrome or powder coated steel. The upholstered seat and back can be specified in a wide range of fabrics or olive-leaf tanned leather, allowing Layout 114 to be tailored for dining rooms, offices, restaurants and public spaces alike.
