The HAY Layout Chair 144 by Julien Renault is designed to support modern ways of working, combining comfort, adaptability and responsible material use. The distinctive opening in the backrest gives the chair a light, open appearance while improving flexibility and support when seated.

This fully upholstered version features both a padded seat and back, creating a softer, more inviting feel that suits longer periods of use. The aluminium five-legged swivel base with castors allows easy movement, while the integrated gas lift lets you adjust the seat height between 46.5cm and 55.5cm. Every component is designed to be fully disassembled, helping extend the chair’s lifespan and support refurbishment over time.

The shell is made from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic and is available in a wide range of colours.
