The HAY Layout Chair 131, designed by Julien Renault, brings the adaptable design language of the Layout collection into workspaces and flexible living environments. The open backrest is a defining feature, creating a lighter visual presence while offering responsive support that moves naturally with the body.

This version is fitted with an aluminium four star swivel base, providing stability and smooth movement for desks, meeting rooms and home offices. The shell is made from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic and is available in a wide range of colours. All components are designed to be fully disassembled, supporting refurbishment and long-term use. With its balance of comfort, mobility and circular design principles, Layout Chair 131 is well suited to corporate settings as well as domestic interiors.
