The MR01 Initial lounge chair combines contemporary aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship in one innovative design. Designed by Mathias Steen Rasmussen, the lounge chair is expertly crafted from FSC-certified wood for longevity, sustainability and a beautiful composition that will acquire a lovely patina as it ages. The screw and nail-free wood frame showcases traditional carpentry techniques in its simple construction, while the seat and backrest are locked into the frame using 90 metres of rope hand-woven using Rasmussen's own technique. The seat's low-slung, gentle incline has been designed to provide sitters with a sense of comfort and calm.
