Carl Hansen & Son BM1106 Huntsman Chair

The Carl Hansen & Son BM1106 Huntsman Chair was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1950 and reintroduced in 2019. First presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Furniture Guild Exhibition as part of Mogensen’s hunting cabin theme, the chair reflects his ability to combine clear structure with refined detail.

The design balances simplicity with complexity, allowing the natural materials to take focus. A solid wood frame supports a saddle leather seat and back, held taut with buckles and brackets in stainless steel. This construction creates a flexible chair that supports a variety of comfortable sitting positions.
