The Darwin Collection is the result of over 12 months of careful design and development. Mark Holloway, CEO of Holloways of Ludlow, worked closely with the manufacturer to perfect every detail, making sure it’s as comfortable and durable as possible. The collection is named after Charles Darwin who was educated in Shropshire and was the architect of the theory of evolution. Highly evolved, our Darwin sofa has been perfected by improving even the smallest detail to make it incredibly comfortable whilst offering incredible value for money.

Comfort and construction
The seat cushions have a reinforced foam core to stop them from sagging (a common problem with may sofas) so they will keep their shape for years. The back cushions are filled with sustainably sourced duck feathers for a soft, luxurious feel, but if you have allergies, we can swap them for a hypoallergenic fibre option. Each sofa is handmade in the UK using sustainably sourced materials, which helps keep the carbon footprint low.

Fabrics
We’ve carefully selected a range of premium fabrics exclusive to Holloways of Ludlow. However, if you’re after a specific colour or texture, we can offer other fabric options to suit your style. The frame is built from solid hardwood and high-quality plywood and comes with a 20-year guarantee. And if you ever fancy a change, we also offer a reupholstering service to give your sofa a new lease of life.
